Attention students: Starting next semester, the university will extend library hours to 2 a.m. on weekdays and will also add a new 24-hour study area in the student center. This change aims to accommodate students who prefer late-night study sessions. However, to fund this, the library will reduce its weekend hours from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. to 1 p.m.-5 p.m. We believe this adjustment will better serve the majority of students.

Student 1: Did you see the announcement about the library hours? I'm not thrilled about it. Student 2: Really? I think it's great that we can study later on weekdays. But what's the catch? Student 1: The catch is they're cutting weekend hours! I always use Saturday afternoons to do my heavy research and group projects. Now I'll have less time on weekends. Student 2: But you could just use the new 24-hour study area in the student center instead. Student 1: That's not the same. The library has all the reference books and quiet study rooms. The student center is too noisy and doesn't have the resources I need. Plus, I work part-time on weekday evenings, so I can't take advantage of the late-night hours anyway.
