Campus Notice: The university will extend the library's hours to 24/7 during finals week, starting next Monday. This change aims to provide students with more flexible study spaces. To accommodate this, the library will reduce its regular hours for the two weeks before finals to 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Additionally, a new quiet study floor will be added on the third floor to minimize distractions.

M: Did you see the library announcement about extended hours during finals? I think it's a great idea. W: Really? I'm not so sure. The reduced hours before finals will hurt me—I usually use the library late at night to prepare for exams, and now it'll close at 6 p.m. M: But you can study at your dorm or the 24-hour café. Plus, the new quiet floor will make studying more efficient when you do come. W: That quiet floor sounds nice, but the real issue is that many students, like me, have part-time jobs during the day. We rely on evening library access. Cutting hours before finals is counterproductive. M: I see your point, but I think the trade-off is worth it. Having 24-hour access during the actual finals week is more valuable, and I can plan my work schedule around the earlier hours. W: For you, maybe. But for those of us with fixed work shifts, it's a big problem. I'd rather have consistent hours all along than a 24/7 sprint at the end.
