Campus Announcement: Extended Library Hours Starting Next Month. To better accommodate student needs during finals, the main library will extend its hours to 24/7 from the first day of the exam period until the last day. Additionally, a new quiet study floor will be opened on the fourth floor, accessible only to graduate students. The library hopes these changes will reduce crowding and provide more flexible study options for all students.

Student 1 (M): Did you see the library announcement? I'm really excited about the 24/7 hours. I always study best late at night, and my dorm is too noisy. This is perfect for me. Student 2 (W): I get that, but I'm not so sure. I mean, 24/7 is great, but what about the quiet floor for grad students only? That seems unfair. Undergrads like us also need quiet spaces, and the regular floors can get really loud. I think they should have made it open to everyone. Student 1 (M): True, but at least we have more hours now. And honestly, the grad students probably need it more for their research. But I do agree that the quiet floor could have been a mixed-use area. Student 2 (W): Yeah, but my main issue is that they're only doing this during finals. What about the rest of the semester? Many of us have big projects or need late-night study throughout the year. I wish they'd make it permanent. Student 1 (M): That's a fair point. But I'll take what we can get for now.
