TOEFL Speaking Task 2

Notice: Starting next semester, the university will extend library hours on weekdays from 10 PM to midnight. This change aims to provide more study time for students, especially during midterms and finals. Additionally, new study carrels will be added on the third floor to accommodate increased usage. The library will remain closed on weekends as before.

Man: Did you see the announcement about the library staying open later? I think it's a great idea. I often lose track of time when studying, and having those extra two hours would really help me prepare for exams without rushing. Plus, adding more study carrels is perfect because right now it's nearly impossible to find a quiet spot during peak hours. I know some people worry about the cost, but the benefits for students are huge. Woman: I agree completely. I usually have evening classes, and by the time they end, the library is about to close. With the extended hours, I can actually use the library's resources after class instead of going straight back to my dorm. And more carrels mean less time searching for a place to sit, which is a big relief.
