The university has announced that, starting next semester, the campus library will extend its hours on weekdays until midnight. This change is intended to accommodate students who prefer to study late at night. To implement this, the library will reduce its weekend hours from 10 AM-6 PM to 1 PM-6 PM. The administration believes this adjustment will better serve the majority of students.

Man: Did you see the announcement about the library hours? I'm not thrilled about it. Woman: Really? I think it's great for night owls. But why are you against it? Man: Well, I often use the library on Sunday mornings to prepare for my Monday classes. With the new weekend hours, I'll lose that time. Plus, the library is usually crowded on weekday evenings anyway, so extending hours won't help much—there aren't enough study desks. Woman: I see. So you feel the weekend cut is a real loss for you. Man: Exactly, and I doubt the late-night extension will benefit as many students as they think.
