Campus Announcement: The university will extend the library's weekend hours from 10 a.m.–6 p.m. to 10 a.m.–10 p.m., starting next semester. This change aims to provide more study time for students, especially during exam periods. Additional funding will be allocated to hire part-time student assistants to manage the extended hours.

M: Did you see the announcement about the library hours? I think it's a great idea. W: Really? I'm not so sure. It seems like a waste of money. M: But students often need more time to study, especially on weekends before exams. Many of us have part-time jobs during the week and can only catch up on Saturdays and Sundays. W: That's true, but the library is rarely full even now. I've been there on Sunday afternoons, and it's half empty. Besides, hiring more student assistants will just eat up the budget that could be used for new books. M: I see your point, but I still think the extended hours will benefit those who need them. And the student assistants get paid work experience, which is also positive. W: Well, I guess we'll see if it actually gets used.
