Campus Announcement: The university will extend library hours to 24/5 (Sunday through Thursday) starting next semester. This change is intended to accommodate students' varying study schedules and to provide more flexible access to resources. Additionally, the library will offer a new 24-hour study zone on the first floor with vending machines for snacks and coffee.

M: Did you see the announcement about the library? I think it's a great idea. W: Really? I'm not so sure. I mean, 24/5 might be helpful for some, but I worry about the noise and distractions. M: That's why they made the first floor a separate study zone. I heard they'll enforce quiet hours there. Plus, having snacks and coffee available means I can stay longer without leaving. W: But what about the cost? Extending hours and adding vending machines will increase the library's budget. I bet they'll cut other services, like the writing center. M: I don't think so. The announcement says it's funded by a grant, not the regular budget. And the writing center will still have its usual hours. W: Hmm, I didn't know that. Still, I prefer studying at home at night. But I guess for those who need it, it's useful.
