Announcement: The university is pleased to announce that the campus library will extend its operating hours to midnight from Monday to Thursday starting next semester. This change is in response to student requests for more study time during the week. Additionally, the library will introduce a new online booking system for study rooms, allowing students to reserve them up to 48 hours in advance.

M: Did you see the announcement about the library? I’m really excited about the extended hours. As a science major, I often have late lab sessions that end at 9 PM, and by the time I get to the library, it’s almost closing. Now I can actually get some serious studying done after lab. W: I guess that’s good for you, but I’m concerned about the new booking system. It might make it harder for students like me who prefer to just walk in and find a room when they need it. I mean, I often decide to study in a group at the last minute, and with 48-hour advance booking, all the rooms will probably be taken by then. M: Well, I think the booking system is fair because it ensures that rooms are used efficiently. Plus, you can always book a room in advance if you have a regular group study session. It just requires a bit of planning. W: I see your point, but still, I worry that spontaneous study groups will suffer.
