Campus Fitness Center to Extend Hours Beginning Next Month. Starting March 1st, the university fitness center will be open from 6:00 AM to midnight, Monday through Sunday. This change is in response to student requests for more flexibility around class and work schedules. To accommodate the extended hours, the center will reduce the number of group fitness classes offered each week. The university believes that extended access will benefit more students overall.

M: Did you see the email about the fitness center hours? I'm pretty excited about it. I often have late labs, and by the time I get there, it's already closing. W: Really? I'm not so thrilled. I mean, I take yoga and spin classes three times a week. Those are my main workouts. If they cut those, I'll have to find other ways to exercise. M: But think about it—you can go anytime now, even at 6 AM before your first class. You don't have to rely on scheduled classes. I think it's a better deal for everyone. W: I see your point, but I'm not good at motivating myself without a class. And I've heard they're cutting the Saturday classes too. That was the only time I could go with my friends. It's disappointing.
