Notice: Starting next semester, the university library will extend its opening hours on weekdays from 10:00 PM to midnight. The extension will apply to the main reading areas and computer labs. The administration believes this change will better accommodate students' study needs, especially during exam periods. Additional funding has been allocated to hire part-time student assistants for late-night shifts.

Student A: Did you see the email about the library extending hours? I think it's a great idea. I often lose focus in my dorm and need a quiet place to study late at night. This will be perfect for me. Student B: I'm not so sure. It sounds nice, but I doubt it will be worth the cost. They're hiring student assistants, right? That funding could be used for more books or better computers instead. Student A: But think about it—during finals, the library is packed even at 10 PM. Many of us have nowhere else to go. Plus, the student assistants get paid jobs, which helps them financially. It's a win-win. Student B: I see your point about jobs, but the library might not be that crowded every night. And what about noise? With fewer staff, it might get rowdy. I just think it's unnecessary for most of the year.
