Campus Announcement: New Library Hours
Starting next semester, the university library will extend its hours to 24/7 during finals week. Additionally, a new quiet study floor will be added on the third level, equipped with individual study carrels. The university believes these changes will better accommodate students' study needs during peak exam periods.

M: Why not? More quiet space is always good.
W: Well, the third floor is already quiet, but the new carrels are tiny. I prefer spreading out my books and notes. Plus, 24/7 hours mean more noise from people coming and going at night, which could disturb those trying to study.
M: I see your point, but I think the extended hours will reduce crowding, and the carrels are fine for focused work. The real issue is that most students study in groups, so a quiet floor might not be used much.
W: Exactly! That's my second reason. The library needs more group study rooms, not more individual carrels. The demand for group spaces is much higher.
