Man: Did you see the announcement about the library? I'm not thrilled about it.
Woman: Really? I thought it was a great idea—24/7 hours during finals is a lifesaver.
Man: Sure, but the reservation system is a problem. It will be a hassle to plan ahead. Sometimes I decide to study at the last minute, and with the old policy, I could just grab a room if one was free. Now, if I don't book two days ahead, I might have no place to go.
Woman: But don't you think it's fairer? Everyone gets a chance, not just the ones who run faster.
Man: Maybe, but it's still inconvenient. Also, they're only extending hours during finals week—what about the rest of the semester? Many of us have midterms and projects, and we need more late-night access all year, not just one week.
Woman: I see your point, but I still think it's a step forward.
Man: I disagree. I think it's a step backward for flexibility.
