Announcement: Starting next semester, the university will extend the library's weekday hours from 10 PM to midnight. This change aims to accommodate students during final exams and major project deadlines. The extended hours will be in effect from the Monday before finals week until the last day of exams. No additional staffing costs will be incurred as current student employees will cover the extra shifts voluntarily.

Student 1 (Sarah): Did you see the library announcement? Extending hours until midnight sounds great, but I'm actually against it. First, the extra hours are only during finals week, but many of us have major papers and midterms throughout the semester. It won't help when we really need it, like in October or March. Second, I heard the student employees are forced to volunteer, not voluntarily. My roommate works there and said they were pressured to sign up or else they'd lose their preferred shifts next semester. That's unfair to them.
