Campus Announcement: Extended Library Hours
Starting next month, the university library will extend its hours to 24/5, remaining open from Sunday 10 a.m. to Friday 8 p.m. This change is intended to provide more flexible study time for students, especially during midterms and finals. The library will close from Friday 8 p.m. to Sunday 10 a.m. for maintenance. Additional funding will be allocated to hire more student assistants.

M: Did you see the announcement about the library? I think it's great!
W: Really? I'm not so sure. I mean, 24/5 sounds nice, but it's only during the week. What about weekends? Many students, including me, work part-time on weekdays and can only study on weekends.
M: That's a point, but for me, the late nights during the week are perfect. I have classes all day, so I can only study after 10 p.m. And they're hiring more student assistants, which might mean more job opportunities.
W: I guess that's true, but the Friday to Sunday closure is a big downside. Last semester, I pulled all-nighters on Saturdays before Monday exams. Now I'd have to plan differently.
M: Well, I still think it's a positive change. The extra hours will help many commuters like me who can't stay late on campus otherwise.
