M: Did you see the email about the mandatory meal plan? I can't believe they're forcing all of us to buy it. W: I know, right? It seems like a cash grab. I mean, I barely eat in the cafeteria now—I usually cook at home or grab something off-campus. This plan would cost me $1,200 a semester for meals I don't even want. M: Exactly! And 10 meals a week is way too many for me. I have a part-time job and evening classes, so I'm rarely on campus during meal times. W: Plus, they say it's about community, but the cafeteria is always packed and noisy. I'd rather eat with friends in the dorm lounge or at a local café. M: Totally agree. This policy ignores our individual needs and just adds a huge financial burden.
