Campus Announcement: Extended Library Hours Starting next semester, the university library will extend its operating hours from 10:00 PM to midnight on weekdays. This change aims to provide students with more late-night study options, especially during midterms and finals. Additionally, the library will increase the number of study rooms available on the second floor to accommodate group projects. The extended hours will be funded by a small increase in the student activity fee.

Student 1: Did you see the announcement about the library staying open later? I think it's a great idea! I always struggle to find a quiet place to study after 10 PM, especially during exam week. The extra two hours would really help me get more work done without the noise of my roommate. Student 2: I see your point, but I'm not so sure. The fee increase bothers me. We already pay so much for activities, and I rarely use the library that late. Plus, they say they'll add more study rooms, but that doesn't help me since I prefer studying alone in my dorm. Student 1: But think about the benefits! For students like me who have jobs during the day, those extra hours are the only time we can concentrate. And the new study rooms are perfect for group projects - my team often has nowhere to meet at night. The small fee is worth it for that. Student 2: I still think it's a waste of money. Most students are done by 10 PM anyway, and the library is rarely crowded then. I'd rather see the money go to updating the computers or adding more parking.
