The university library will extend its opening hours from 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. during finals week. Additionally, a quiet study floor will be designated on the third floor to accommodate students who need a noise-free environment. The library believes these changes will reduce stress and improve academic performance.

Woman: Did you see the library announcement? I love that they’re staying open later! Last semester, I had to leave at midnight right when I was in the zone. Now I can actually finish my research paper without rushing.
Man: True, but I’m not sure about the quiet floor. I mean, I prefer to study with a group. When I study alone, I get distracted easily. The third floor was the best place for group discussions because it was always empty. Now, where are we supposed to go?
Woman: But the quiet floor is only during finals week. You can use the first and second floors for group work. Honestly, I think the quiet floor will help many students like me who can’t concentrate with noise.
Man: I still think it’s unfair. The library should have kept the third floor open for groups. Plus, the extended hours don’t help me because I have early classes. I’d rather they added more study rooms than change the floor policy.
