TOEFL Speaking Task 2

Campus Announcement: Starting next semester, the university will extend the library's weekday hours from 10:00 PM to midnight. This change aims to accommodate students who prefer late-night studying. Additionally, the university will increase the number of study rooms available during these extended hours to ensure adequate space for all students.

M: Did you see the announcement about the library staying open until midnight? I think it's a great idea. I'm a night owl, and I often can't finish my assignments before 10 PM. The extra two hours will really help me get more work done without rushing. W: That's true, but I'm worried about the costs. Hiring more staff and keeping the lights on will be expensive. Do they have enough budget for that? M: Actually, the announcement says they're adding more study rooms, which means they must have planned for the costs. Also, I think it's worth it because many students, like me, have part-time jobs during the day and can only study at night. This will let us use the library when we really need it.
