Effective next semester, the university will extend library hours on weekdays from 10 PM to midnight. This change aims to accommodate students who prefer studying late. Additional funding will be allocated for increased security and staffing during the extended hours.

Woman: Did you hear about the library staying open until midnight? I think it's a fantastic idea. I often lose track of time while studying for exams, and it's frustrating when I have to pack up at 10 PM. Plus, my roommate is always noisy in the evenings, so I need a quiet place later. Man: I see your point, but I'm worried about the extra cost. Where will the money come from? They might cut other services, like the free printing. Woman: Actually, the announcement says they're getting new funding specifically for security and staff, so they won't touch other budgets. And more importantly, having a safe, quiet space late at night will help many students like me improve our grades. Man: I guess that makes sense. If they have the money, it's a good use.
