Campus Announcement: Extended Library Hours During Finals Week Starting next Monday, the library will extend its hours to 24/7 for the final exam period. This change aims to provide students with more flexible study spaces during the busiest time of the semester. Additionally, the library will offer free coffee and tea from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. each night to help students stay focused. The extended hours will remain in effect until the last day of finals.

Student 1: Did you see the announcement about the library staying open all night during finals? That's great, isn't it? Student 2: Honestly, I'm not so sure. I think it's a waste of resources. Most students already have enough study spaces in their dorms or in the 24-hour study lounge in the student center. Plus, staying up all night is unhealthy—it ruins your sleep schedule and actually hurts your performance on exams. Student 1: But what about the free coffee? That sounds helpful. Student 2: That's another problem. Free coffee encourages students to stay even later, making them more sleep-deprived. And the extra staff needed to keep the library open all night costs money that could be used to buy more books or update computers. I'd rather they invest in things that support long-term learning.
