As international brands, fast-food chains, and popular music continue to expand across nations, some critics argue that this cultural homogenization is squeezing the living space out of local traditions; others, however, insist that globalization actually provides a broader stage for the innovation and dissemination of local cultures. In the tide of globalization, is local culture a victim being eroded, or a beneficiary being revitalized?
