With the spread of international brands, fast-food chains, and popular music, some argue that globalization is flattening cultural differences among nations, making the world monotonous; others, however, contend that globalization is instead driving local cultures to revive in new forms. At a time when cultural diversity is increasingly challenged, is preserving local traditions more important than embracing global culture? Please state your position and justify your viewpoint.
