As housing prices continue to climb in many cities around the world, the younger generation is being priced out of urban centers, while older generations benefit from having purchased homes earlier in life. Some argue that governments should prioritize measures to help young people buy homes, in order to promote intergenerational equity; others insist that intervening in the housing market would distort economic principles and ultimately harm everyone's interests. On this issue, which side do you believe governments should lean toward? Please present your view, and support your argument with specific reasons and examples.
