Some argue that governments should actively invest resources to protect and revive traditional customs and art forms on the verge of extinction, so as to ensure that cultural roots are not weakened. Others, however, contend that culture should naturally evolve with the times, and that excessive protection would only turn it into "specimens in a museum," hindering society's progress. In your view, how should a balance be struck between the defense of traditional values and the need for cultural renewal?
