As population density continues to rise in many of the world's major cities, and urban sprawl steadily encroaches upon surrounding rural areas, one perspective holds that this trend brings residents richer opportunities in employment, education, and culture; another voice warns, however, that excessive urbanization is driving housing crises, transportation paralysis, and the erosion of community belonging. In your view, do the benefits of urbanization always outweigh the costs it imposes on the social fabric? Please state your position and support it with specific reasons and examples.
