Faced with the urgent reality of continuously rising global temperatures, some countries advocate prioritizing economic resources toward developing carbon capture and geological storage technologies rather than transitioning to renewable energy, arguing that the former can more directly eliminate existing emissions. However, environmentalists and climate scientists insist that such technologies are costly and of questionable effectiveness, far less capable of fundamentally reducing emissions than investing in mature clean energy sources like solar and wind power. In your view, to address climate change, should funding and policy lean more toward which side? Please elaborate on your stance and provide examples to support your argument.
