Participants who lived within 500 meters of a park reported lower stress levels and better sleep quality. Interestingly, the type of green space mattered: community gardens had a stronger effect on social well-being, while large tree-lined parks were more beneficial for physical activity. The researchers also noted that access to water features, like ponds, did not significantly influence health outcomes. So, for city planners, the key is to prioritize diverse green areas, not just any greenery.
