Good morning, everyone. Today we're going to discuss the impact of urbanization on local wildlife. As cities expand, natural habitats are often fragmented, which can lead to a decline in species diversity. However, recent studies have shown that some animals, such as foxes and certain birds, are adapting surprisingly well to urban environments. For example, in London, urban foxes have changed their feeding habits, now relying more on human-provided food sources like discarded takeaway meals. Interestingly, these foxes tend to be more active at night to avoid human contact. But not all species are so adaptable. Amphibians, particularly frogs, are struggling due to the lack of ponds and the increased use of pesticides in city parks.
