Today we're going to discuss the impact of urban green spaces on mental health. A recent study followed 1,000 adults over five years. Participants who lived within 300 meters of a park or garden reported 22% lower levels of stress and anxiety. Interestingly, the effect was stronger for older adults and those who visited the space at least twice a week. However, the study found no significant difference between small community gardens and large parks. So, it's not the size that matters, but the frequency of visits and the feeling of connection to nature.
