The researchers found that people living within 300 meters of a park or garden reported significantly lower levels of stress and anxiety. Interestingly, the size of the green space didn't matter as much as its accessibility. Even small community gardens had a positive effect, provided they were well-maintained and safe. The study also noted that the benefits were stronger for older adults and those with limited mobility, who relied more on nearby green areas for relaxation and social interaction.
