Good morning, everyone. Today we're going to discuss the habits of nocturnal animals. As you know, nocturnal animals are active during the night and sleep during the day. One common misconception is that all nocturnal animals have excellent night vision. However, some species, like the naked mole rat, rely more on their sense of touch and smell than on sight. In fact, their eyes are quite small and underdeveloped. Another interesting adaptation is echolocation, used by bats and some shrews. This allows them to navigate and hunt in complete darkness. But did you know that not all bats use echolocation? Fruit bats, for example, depend on their large eyes and keen sense of smell to find ripe fruit. So, while many nocturnal creatures have evolved remarkable sensory abilities, the specific adaptations vary greatly depending on their ecological niche.
