Good morning, everyone. Today we're going to discuss the impact of urban green spaces on mental health. A recent study conducted in Melbourne followed over 1,000 residents for five years. The researchers found that people living within 300 meters of a park or garden reported significantly lower levels of stress and anxiety. Interestingly, the size of the green space mattered less than its accessibility. Even small pocket parks, if well-maintained and easily reachable on foot, had a positive effect. However, the study noted that the benefits were strongest for those who visited these areas at least once a week, not just for those who lived nearby.
