Today we're discussing the impact of urban green spaces on mental health. A recent study followed 2,000 adults over five years. Participants who visited parks at least once a week reported 20% lower stress levels. Interestingly, the duration of each visit mattered less than the frequency. Even short visits of 10 minutes were beneficial. However, the type of activity, such as walking or gardening, did not significantly change outcomes. The researchers also noted that people living within 300 meters of a green space had better sleep quality. They concluded that regular access to nature, even in small doses, is key.
