Good morning, everyone. Today we'll continue our discussion on renewable energy. As we know, solar power is popular, but there are challenges. One major issue is efficiency. Most commercial solar panels convert only about 15-20% of sunlight into electricity. However, recent research at our university has developed a new type of panel using perovskite material. This prototype achieves 28% efficiency in lab tests, which is a significant improvement. Yet, there's a catch: the perovskite panels degrade quickly when exposed to moisture. So, the team is now focusing on protective coatings. In the next phase, they plan to test these panels in real-world conditions for at least two years. If successful, they hope to bring them to market within five years.
