Good morning, everyone. Today we're going to look at the history of the bicycle, focusing on its early development. The first two-wheeled vehicle, called the velocipede, appeared in France in the 1860s. It had pedals attached directly to the front wheel, which made it difficult to ride. Later, in the 1870s, British inventors introduced the high-wheel bicycle, with a large front wheel and a small rear one. This design allowed greater speed, but it was unsafe because riders could easily tip forward. Finally, in 1885, the 'safety bicycle' was developed, featuring two wheels of equal size and a chain drive. This design became the basis for modern bicycles.
