Today we're discussing the impact of urban green spaces on mental health. A recent study followed 1,000 adults over five years. Participants who visited parks at least once a week reported 22% lower levels of stress and a significant improvement in mood. Interestingly, the size of the green space mattered less than the frequency of visits. Even small community gardens had positive effects when visited regularly. However, the study also found that people living near large parks but rarely visiting them showed no notable benefits. So, the key factor is consistent exposure, not just proximity.
