Today we're going to discuss the impact of urban green spaces on mental health. A recent study followed 1,000 adults over five years. Participants who lived within 300 meters of a park reported lower stress levels and improved mood. Interestingly, the effect was stronger for those who visited the green space at least twice a week, regardless of its size. However, the study noted that noise pollution from nearby roads could reduce the benefits. Therefore, planners should prioritize quiet, accessible green areas in city design.
