The researchers found that people living within 300 meters of a park or garden reported significantly lower levels of stress and anxiety. Interestingly, the size of the green space mattered less than its accessibility. Even small community gardens had a positive effect if they were easy to reach on foot. However, the study also noted that benefits were strongest for older adults and those who visited the spaces at least twice a week.
