Good morning, everyone. Today we're going to discuss the history of the postal service. Surprisingly, the first organized postal system was not in Europe but in ancient China, around 500 BC. It was used mainly for government messages. Later, in the 19th century, the introduction of the postage stamp revolutionized communication. The first adhesive stamp, the Penny Black, was issued in Britain in 1840. This made sending letters affordable for ordinary people. However, it wasn't until the late 1800s that international postal agreements were established, allowing mail to cross borders efficiently. So, as you can see, the development of mail services has a long and interesting history.
