However, the researchers noted that the benefits are unevenly distributed. Wealthier neighborhoods tend to have more vegetation, while lower-income areas often lack adequate green cover. To address this, the city council has proposed a new policy: by 2030, every resident should live within a 10-minute walk of a public park. This initiative aims to improve air quality and promote mental well-being. But the challenge is funding, as maintenance costs are high.
