Today we're going to discuss the impact of urban green spaces on mental health. A recent study followed 1,000 adults over five years. Participants who lived within 300 meters of a park reported 20% lower stress levels. Interestingly, the type of vegetation mattered: tree-lined streets had a stronger effect than grassy areas. The study also noted that access to community gardens improved social connections, but the effect on anxiety was less clear. However, researchers caution that the results are correlational, not causal, and recommend further controlled experiments.
