Good morning, everyone. Today we're going to discuss the impact of urban green spaces on mental health. A recent study conducted in Melbourne followed over 2,000 adults for five years. The researchers found that people living within 300 meters of a park or garden reported significantly lower levels of stress and anxiety. Interestingly, the quality of the green space mattered more than its size. Small, well-maintained community gardens had a stronger positive effect than large, neglected parks. The study also noted that the benefits were most pronounced for residents aged over 60, who showed a 20% reduction in symptoms of depression.
