For example, in northern Canada, melting permafrost is causing roads and buildings to sink. This creates costly repairs and safety risks. Additionally, warmer winters reduce the ice road season, which is crucial for transporting supplies to remote communities. So, while we often focus on food security, we must not overlook these engineering challenges.
