Today we're discussing the impact of urban green spaces on mental health. A recent study followed 1,000 residents over five years. Participants who visited parks at least three times a week reported 22% lower stress levels compared to those who rarely went. Interestingly, the size of the park mattered less than the quality of the vegetation. Dense tree cover and the presence of water features showed the strongest positive effects. However, the study also noted that accessibility, such as safe walking paths, was the key factor determining regular use.
